The Principle Club is a non-profit making Club for sociable singles, run entirely by its members. We are 35 years old and currently have over 50 members.

Most Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year… as well as Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year we have something on the programme. These events are put in, and hosted by, our members – it’s a great way to reinvigorate your social life and make new friends!

Take a look at a typical programme to see a typical month’s events… it could be anything from a country walk to dinner, music, theatre trip or simply meeting for a coffee and a chat.

How does this all work?
A Committee of volunteers from the membership meet regularly to run the Club and to coordinate the various events.

Because the events are organised by members, the programme reflects the variety of interests enjoyed by like-minded people.

There are other events each year such as boat trips, BBQ’s and occasionally holidays – after many hilarious times including Warners Lakeside @Hayling Island, we’ve booked a Soul & Motown long weekend in Devon for June 2027.

Membership
There is a small membership fee of just £5 per month payable by standing order; if you would like details of how we use this money, please go the FAQs page. (Still no increase!)

Before joining us, we ask that prospective members join us on one of our Wednesday night socials, which we call “Club Nights”.  This gives an excellent opportunity to meet other Club members and discuss future events.
